(for bootlegs, write me an email, I'll sell you a copy for 10 bucks...) probably the best moody/dark/abstract hiphop group from geneva ferocious 41 will release their debut album. the rabbit theory will release their 25minute fullength. g‚^?¬¢^?‚^?√?¬¨‚^´ldin, a collaboration between g‚^?¬¢^?‚^?¬¢^?ldin and paar@ohr‚^?¬¢^?‚^?√?¬¨√Y®'s l‚^?¬¢^?‚^?√?¬¨‚^´gner will be co-released by quiet records. we provide nothing, while maximum respekt provides everything. and still it's a co-release. now THAT'S what I call smart business, huh? bit-tuner and omega takeshi (88:komaflash) are in on a collaboration, which will hopefully result in a recording as well. |

| 06-11-06 what I wanted to say a long time ago: go, oaxaca! forget about NZZ who can't help but write about a 1000 people pro-PRI manifestation big time and sort of not say anything positive about the fact, that people try to organize themselves without a distant, centralized government. I think the 1.3 million march of the pro-APPO supporters in the streets of oaxaca show in what direction they want to go... | 24-10-06 we discussed copyrights here before, at least in bits but what happened lately with YouTube (or GoogleTube, actually) in a case of Paramount Pictures vs. some small guy called chris moukarbel is outstandigly strange. moukarbel got hold of a copy of the screenplay for 'Twin Towers', oliver stone's 40 million dollar movie about the 9/11 attacks starring nicholas cage and other topshots. what he did was getting some amateur 'actors' together shoot his own 12 minute movie based on stone's screenplay and uploaded it to YouTube. Paramount on the other hand saw a massive threat in this no-budget 12 minute short and sued him which was only possible with the helo of YouTube, who handed over the user's data. | 08-08-06 ok, another update for you, dear audience de la web intercontinental. not very much happening in the last 2 weeks, to be honest. I can tell you what's in discussion at the moment. omega takeshi (of 88:komaflash) and bit-tuner (of the beatles) are planning to do a bigger collaboration called egogrill when bit-tuner is on his half-year stay in oh-so-important berlin. we'll pretty sure put something out of this collab, since we heard the first 5 tracks and were blown away. mr. göldin on the other hand is recording as well some schlager stuff. we haven't heard it yet, but he constantly blackmails us and walks in when we are sleeping with guns pointing at us, so we can't say anything but yep, we'll release it. the rabbit theory are recording in september and definitely will release a record from it. maybe a split, maybe a nice EP, we'll see. business-wise I'm happy to say that both titles qr.017-CDR and qc.001-SWC are sold out and mumia abu-jamal gets some money for his fight against utter injustice in pennsylvania's sci-greene prison, where he's still held and denied a fair trial. oh, yes, what I almost forgot: FUCK WAR! megalomaniacs, whoever and wherever you are, go kill yourselves! |
| 24-07-06 summertime, rare updates time. .HELLO EVERYONE. we're back from touring germany and belgium for the last 10 days, we're glad we're here again. and yes, we totally hate each other now. lawsuits are filed, rifles are loaded, so come and see the very last show of this the rabbit theory tour with no name tonight at boschbar (at provitreff, sihlquai 240, that is). we're super excited to introduce the terrific band pete the pirate squid to zurich. I know I say that a lot, but this band is sincerely in my top 3 of live bands: female/mae singers backed by emo-math-core in all its greatness. and great lyrics on top of it. come and see. ok, and now for the big thank you list, as we met alot of nice peeps on this tour: steffi, utta and anne for keeping it up in halle and a perfect seitan-chili. we had the best start after 8.5 hrs driving. christian in hamburg for introducing us to this very interesting city of yours. astra, baby! mathias at mental maps in frankfurt for having us and keeping the torch burning, both in the radioshow (woohoo!) and in the nice basement. oh, and micha and kerstin for the shower. it was most necessary. michael in nossegem for the chips and the banana. a warm hug goes out to the people from the envers-zwa house in antwerp (cédric, dries and all the others I – shame on me – can't remember): you guys a re a fucking inspiration! we probably played our best show at your basement, despite the 40+ degrees. and hi adolina! you rock amazingly! this trip to belgium coulnd't have been done without the help of jeroen, an overall talent, as it seems, be it beer knowledge or drumming skills. our heyhey also to torsten from new noise festival which was something totally different and still great, great fun. not to speak of the good sleeping in the hotelroom, of course. then: mathias in munich: one heel of a night it was at kafé kult, a legendary autonomously driven venue. go there whenever you can to meet the nicest of people and best of bands. we'd also like to hello the 101 here. great talks, great songs. last night, we were very eager and happy to play the office in gossau for the second time. although we sucked a little (sorry for that), it was overwhelmingly good food again and a nice and cozy temper in there. I love you, ralph, for doing this. of course, I have to thank the pascal and jörg, the other bandmembers, for making this possible. and for not killing me. and for all the driving while I sat in the back and read my book. |

| 15-06-06 I am very, very sad to pass on the news, that Louise, bass player with snitch, died last saturday not even 27 years old. whilst giving birth to her daughter annabelle she left the stage forever and sadly enough, there's no encores this time. I played some of my first shows with quiet records band 'meal' together with snitch. I hereby want to send all my thoughts to them, annabelle, louise's husband martin and all the families involved. I dearly hope you're fine where you are now, Louise. maybe we'll meet again and play provitreff for the same couple of punks and drunks as we did back in 96. that'd be fun. nino. |

| 27-01-06 on the positive side of things, the following: finally, the US court of appeals accepted to review three claims the defending attorney pointed to in the overly politival case of the US versus Mumia Abu Jamal. the denial of constitutinonal rights during the trial will be one of them, racism issues the other two. still striking to me is the fact, that the actual murderer of police officer daniel faulkner, arnold beverly, confessed in 1999 and still they won't let Abu Jamal go. he's being held on death row since 1982 against better will and know. |
